Sleepypod, Pet Bed For Home And On The Go

Los Angeles, CA - September 28, 2006 - As hotels and resorts become more pet friendly, traveling with small dogs and cats is becoming increasingly more popular. Getting pets into their carriers can be a traumatic experience if they associate it only with going to the doctor. To address this problem, Meowme has developed the Sleepypod, a mobile pet bed that combines the pet bed and pet carrier into one product. It is designed to be used everyday at home and for travel.

Sleepypod is a mobile bed that contains many unique features such as a removable top that can be used in various positions, a plush mink like machine washable fabric bedding, a water resistant nylon covered foam liner, an optional heat pad, and a durable outer shell made with luggage grade ballistic nylon. The Sleepypod is versatile both at home and on a trip. Leave the top on with the opening parted to allow entry and exit or zip it closed for safe traveling. Take the top off and the bed is used like a standard pet bed. The washable plush mink bedding and water resistant liners offer an easy way to keep your pet's sleeping area clean and odor free. The foam liner on the walls and bottom is designed to absorb shock during travel. The optional energy efficient heat pad fits under the plush bedding and is designed to keep your pet warm and cozy.

The Sleepypod will debut at the HH Backer Christmas Pet Trade Show on October 6-8 2006 and should be in pet stores and pet boutiques just in time for this Christmas. The Sleepypod will retail in the US for $149.00 and the Sleepypod with heater will retail for $179.00. Meowme will offer additional plush bedding for $26.00 and the optional warmer for $39.00. Additional accessories will follow soon after the initial launch.
